When we conduct a field visit, we run the HVAC equipment through its commissioning procedures and then provide you with a report. Using visual and empirical inspections and performance testing of mechanical HVAC systems we ensure everything is operating to design intent. This is complemented with a visual assessment of the distribution system (ducting and/or hydronic) to ensure it’s been installed as per our design and industry best practices.

Contractor Assistance	Providing assistance in reviewing bidder’s qualifications, and analyzing and evaluating tenders submitted to ensure they reflect design intent, reflect fair market value, and that any substitutes or alternatives meet or exceed specifications provided. We also provide assistance in answering queries raised by the bidding contractors and issue mechanical addenda and clarification of mechanical documents as required.
Field Reviews	In addition to ongoing email, text and telephone support during construction to the general contractor and mechanical trades, we’ll inspect and document progress of installation and ensure mechanical systems are installed to the approved design and recommendations, and that best practices for installation are followed. We prepare a list of deficiencies (workmanship, completeness and function) and, when these have been rectified, issue the final reports.
Technical Advice	Advising on the validity of charges for additions to, or deletions from the contract and on the issue of change orders, reviewing shop drawings and other submittals for conformance with the contract documents and the intent of the design, and attending the start-up of the mechanical systems and responding to any design-related operational difficulties. We also review operating and maintenance manuals and all other documents required for the client to assume operation of the building.
