Spring 2016 Builder & Designer Breakfast

As part of Ecolighten’s Energy Services work with the City of New Westminster and Energy Save New West, we’re pleased to announce details for the Spring 2016 – Builder & Designer Event planned for Wednesday, March 30th at the Anvil Centre from 7:30AM to 9:30AM.
This event is designed specifically for local builders, architects and designers to learn about energy efficiency requirements under Section 9.36 of the BC Building Code and hear about upcoming City of New Westminster initiatives to support energy efficient new construction for Part 9 buildings. The workshop will include a fully catered breakfast, sponsored by BC Hydro and FortisBC.
The session features:
- Overview of new tools being utilized by the City to support 9.36 compliance and verification including market adoption experiences from City of North Vancouver.
- Knowledge sharing from a local builder who’s actively participating in Energy Save New West and utilizing program support tools to build a better performing home.
- Learn about the upcoming Home Energy Labeling Pilot Project (HELPP) and the benefits for homebuilders, with an opportunity to participate locally.
Seating for this workshop is limited, so you need to reserve your spot through RSVP quickly. Note that homebuilders attending are also eligible to earn continuing professional development credits from Homeowner Protection Office under the Enhanced Licensing System for BC Home Builders.
