BUILDEX Vancouver & Ecolighten Seminar

BUILDEX Vancouver & Ecolighten Seminar

Posted by Ryan ColemanDecember 12, 2012

Ecolighten is pleased to have been selected by Buildex Vancouver to provide an educational seminar on Green Building at this year’s conference.  Titled: “Creating Bridges between Green Building Theory and Practical Application”, Ecolighten’s seminar explores the decision making process of homeowners when a decision is made to build a sustainable home including trying to meet the principles of green home design without sacrificing our North American lifestyle.

Our seminar will be centered on a Passive House case study of an ‘off gas grid’ home.   The homeowner and design team collaborated through an integrated design process to meet a rigorous European home design approach that is not easily incorporated into a home on Gabriola Island. Ecolighten’s Rob Pope and Doug Rempel will be joined by Architect David Kominek and the Homeowner Ewout van Dishoeck.

Details of the seminar are:

  • T17 – Creating Bridges between Green Building Theory and Practical Application
  • Thursday, Feb. 14 – 1:00pm – 2:30pm
