Builder & Designer Breakfast Workshop

To encourage the design and construction of ultra-low energy homes, Ecolighten is working with City of New Westminster to support local builders, designers and architects with resources to encourage growth and adoption of green building practices in New Westminster.
On Wednesday, December 2nd, a breakfast workshop (7:30AM to 9:30AM) is planned for local builders and designers at Anvil Centre to learn about current and upcoming program initiatives and incentives that support the design and construction of high performance home. The workshop will include a fully catered breakfast, sponsored by BC Hydro and FortisBC. The session features:
- Knowledge sharing by local homebuilders and designers that have successfully adopted new, energy efficient technologies and design approaches.
- A review of incentives and rebates available from the City (Energy Save New West), BC Hydro and FortisBC to support EnerGuide labelling and ENERGY STAR® for New Homes.
- Networking opportunity with City staff including building officials and planners
Seating for this workshop is limited, so you need to reserve your spot through RSVP quickly. Note that homebuilders attending are also eligible to earn continuing professional development credits from Homeowner Protection Office under the Enhanced Licensing System for BC Home Builders.
